(RTTNews) - The dollar was uncertain in trading with the pound. The currency had a bump earlier in the morning with the release of UK mortgage approval data, but slid as the durable goods order approached. By 9:30 am ET, the dollar traded around 1.9649, directly above a multi-week low.

(RTTNews) - The Swiss franc saw strength against the dollar on Tuesday. The advance took the currency to a mark of 1.2227 in mid-morning trading. Overall, the franc is near a two-month high against its American counterpart.
