KARACHI (May 31 2007): Firmness prevailed in the currency market on Wednesday as the rupee held its overnight levels against the dollar in process of trading, dealers said.

Swiss Currency Choppy Versus Euro (Nasdaq)

(RTTNews) – In trading with the euro, the Swiss currency showed little movement as trading progressed. By the mid afternoon, the franc had bounced between a high of 1.6445 and a low of 1.6473. Overall, the Swiss currency is at a two and a half week high.

Swiss Currency Slips Versus Yen (Nasdaq)

(RTTNews) – The Swiss currency edged down against its Japanese counterpart in trading. The franc reached a mark of 99.04 by the mid afternoon action. Generally, the Swiss franc remains near its recent multi-year high against the yen.

Argentine Currency Choppy Against Dollar (Nasdaq)

(RTTNews) – The Argentina peso was choppy against the dollar in trading on Wednesday. By the midday, the currency had bounced between a high of 3.0790 and a low of 3.0800. On the whole, the currency is at a weekly high.

Norwegian Currency Declines Versus Dollar (Nasdaq)

(RTTNews) – The Norwegian currency was weak in trading with the dollar on Wednesday. The decline took the krone to a mark of 6.0700 by the late morning action. In general, the Norwegian currency is near a two month low against its American counterpart.
