TOKYO (AP): The dollar slipped against the yen Wednesday in Asia as players bought the Japanese currency following Wall Street’s overnight plunge. The U.S. dollar was trading at 114.37 yen late afternoon, down from 114.56 yen Tuesday in New York. The euro fell to US$1.3593 from US$1.3634.

Swiss Currency Weak Against Sterling (Nasdaq)

(RTTNews) – Versus the euro on Wednesday, the Swiss franc saw weakness in trading. The currency declined steadily to a mark of 1.6360 by 4AM EST and held near that level into the mid-morning action. The currencies have kept within a range over the past month.
