The issue remains to see if Iran invades Iraq which some say won't happen but with Iran's leadership being very unstable and the U.S. Military pulling out of Iraq I think Al Quada will increase to take over the government or Iran will invade should that happen and either faction seize control of Iraq the dinar will be worthless like Germany in WW2. If Iraq stays stable and we begin to build in that country, industrialize it then your investment with Dinar might be worth having. Time tells all but right now that is a long shot on your investment.

I have friends buying thousands of US Dollars of Iraq Dinar thinking its going to make them over night successful millionaires so the they think. The most likely time for a new valuation is when the US troops are withdrawn from Iraq and the flow of USD stop going into the country. Maybe put a few bucks in and have some fun but don't bet the farm.

First of all at best this is a highly speculative investment so if that is your thing you should move forward with that understanding. I used to work in investments so I took it with a grain of salt. However, a higher value revaluation is inevitable...it just might not be as fast and as high as some "speculate". Knowing how game works tempers expectation...if it sounds like a a quick, high-return scenario...be assured, it isn't. However, the fact that the govt is restricting purchase bodes well. This has been before in currency revaluations...even the US back when the dollar was reset to gold. This helps control the monetary change over and helps w/ predictability. It is speculated that if & when our dollar is reset to the gold standard, the govt will confiscate gold and offer a "fair" price to holders, not what a market would determine....this is part of that control & predictability element.
Anyway, the tip does make for an interesting story. I'm just gonna hold it for a while. With Iraq's oil production increasing daily...it's currency is bound to rise.

I had a dinar investment enthusiast give me a $25,000 note and told me the whole revaluation story.
